Oh, yeah, i'm doing great. I'm spending some quality time locked in my room so I don't try to jump my best friend because of this crap.

[ She may have also been singing a bit ... But lol no. Not saying that. She was already embarrassed enough about a lot of things, her singing voice did not have to be among them. ]

[No, he's not. He sighs almost immediately and shakes his head, but whatever judgement he has (mostly at Els at this point, really) he keeps to himself.]

[ Well, he was looking for sparring partners. As flattering as it would be to have two cute guys fighting over her, though, she will still insist all day every day that Els is in no way at fault for her stupidity and that it's all on her. ]

Are you sure? I don't know what I'd be capable of when I'm like this and ... It's kind of scary.

[ She hates the idea of not being in control of herself more than she hates the idea of being powerless. ]

[Carlos isn't buying it. At some point you have to see it. She may make it difficult but she doesn't make it impossible. At some point he has to see something.

He doesn't like that she's not only suffering, she's blaming herself for it when there was someone in her life that could easily be the solution.

At least he's willing to pick up the slack Els seems entirely unaware he's causing...]

It is, but isn't that all the reason to be with someone you already know you can trust not to take advantage of it? This doesn't negate what I said about it being at your speed.

[ Damn it. She hates it when he's right. Or when anyone is right about something she doesn't want to accept. ]

[ And with that, the screen goes black, but she's pretty quick to appear at his door. She knocks on it a few times to make sure he's home. ]

[Luckily he had a feeling she would at the very least want company that wasn't her idiot roommate so he had already gone to his apartment before messaging her. He answers the door, smartly not half dressed like he actually felt like being thanks to that damn mark. He wasn't about come on that strong and has enough sense still to realize it.]

[ Oh shoot. There she goes, blushing again. Look, it's not often anyone calls her cute! But of course, she has to be pouty about it, too. She crosses her arms over her chest and looks away. ]

[ She really is enjoying the attention, she just doesn't really know how to handle it. Her "ego" really is kind of a way to compensate for how absolutely insecure she really is.

But of course, there was also the issue of what was going on right now ... Which may be making her a bit less tsun than usual, because something within her really wanted that attention more than normal. ]

[He knows. Normally he would have reigned it in but there's only so much he can do to temper whatever those damn runes were doing to all of them. As long as she doesn't violently reject it, though, he'll probably keep it up for the time being.

Thankfully he doesn't really slide into creep territory ever, so the worst she'll get is probably a wink at some point.]

[ That's more than she ever gets from anyone, so ... It'd probably go pretty far with her. She realized how awkward she was, standing outside when he was obviously planning on letting her in, so, with a deeper blush on her cheeks, she shuffled into his place and plopped herself on the couch.

The, uh. Same couch that they'd kissed on. For some reason, that thought was creeping in. Ugh. She knew this was a bad idea ... ]

So, ah. What do you do for fun around here?

[He gives a shrug, shuffling into the attached kitchen to grab them something to drink. Bottled, so she doesn't think he's suddenly going to be creepy and put something in it. Not that he would but he absolutely understands it's a legitimate concern for women and he sure as hell isn't going to add to the problem.]

Honestly? Not much right now. I'm still kind of settling in. [That was surprisingly honest and not flirty.]

Though talking to cute girls has become something of a recent hobby.

[ Wow. There were plenty of cute girls in this place, so she honestly shouldn't have been surprised by that. What she was surprised about was how jealous she actually got from that.

Why did she get jealous? Maybe it was the realization that she was yet again the lowest rung on the totem pole as far as that went. ]

[ She makes a face and throws a pillow at him. ]

[To be fair, though, he doesn't try it as often with Jill.

He catches the pillow easily, grinning over it at her.]

[ It's said with an eye roll, but she definitely feels her cheeks heating up and those butterflies in her stomach. Stupid Sexy Carlos ... She makes a frustrated noise. ]

I hate this. I can't tell if I'm actually thinking a kiss would be nice, or if it's the weirdness going on right now.

[ A kiss would be nice, though. Among other things. ]

[He flops down on the couch next to her, arm draped on the back of it but not going full on "sneaky arm around the shoulders" move yet.]

Did you like it last time? And did you think about it after when you were less uh... needy?

[ Oh boy, did she ever. There's an obvious blush on her face as she pouts and crosses her arms over her chest. ]

... Yeah. To both.

[ It was such a weird thing for her, because she'd only ever wanted to kiss Els, but ... She really had enjoyed that one kiss she and Carlos shared. And she really did want it to happen again.

Still, she felt guilty about it, like she was already cheating on a guy she wasn't even in a committed romantic relationship with. It was something she'd been struggling with a lot since then, even though she knew that she would have died if it hadn't happened. ]

[As long as Els continues to keep his head up his ass about her she's free to do whatever or whoever she wants. That's how Carlos sees it. Once they've actually crossed that bridge it'll be a different story entirely but she's clearly not there yet.]

Well, all flirting aside you know I'm always willing to do whatever, even if it's just making out a little more. I'm not gonna push you I just know how frustrating pent up sexual needs can be.

[ He's not wrong. She makes a frustrated noise and flops back onto the couch, staring up at the ceiling. ]

Frustrating is right ... Especially for someone who doesn't normally feel this level of it. At least not over intimate things.

[That's... new to him, but Carlos is fairly open minded and not the sort to immediately assume someone is bullshitting or "just hasn't experienced the right person yet" or some other excuse for what she did or didn't feel.

People know their own bodies better than someone else does.]

I know it can be a pain when you can't get relief like that, but it should pass eventually, right? I'd offer to help more than I did last time but I'm not here to make you push your boundaries past what you can handle.

[ It wasn't that she never felt it at all, more like she'd only ever felt it toward one person. And even then she pushed it down and ignored it because lol she ruined every opportunity she ever had and ever will have with Els.

And now there's stupid sexy Carlos, and he's here and willing and actually looks at her like she's beautiful and it's a lot. ]

I ... I-I guess we can start slow and see where it goes?

[ It wasn't like she was tied down right now ... ]

[As long as she was alright with it, Carlos was, too. He would like to see Els get his head out of where he'd so firmly planted it in his ass, but that's not something either of them are capable of making happen right this moment.]

[ Oh. That was a good point. She nods in response and stands up from the couch. Her heart was already racing from the mere idea of any of this, and it probably showed in how flushed her cheeks already were.

Aisha had never really been the overly hormonal teenager, but whatever this place was doing to her right now certainly made her feel like one. It was kind of exciting, really. ]

L-Lead the way ...

[She's getting a new experience at least. Even if it's the only time that's still something. Hopefully he can make it something she recalls fondly.

He gets up from the couch and gently takes her hand, tugging her up so he can lead her to the bedroom. He's not a clean freak or anything but he generally doesn't have much in the way of personal positions for things to be terribly messy, either. Maybe some clothes tossed haphazardly on an armchair, but the bed is made and the sheets are clean.]

[ That's good at least. It's certainly cleaner than her own room back home right now ... though a lot of her room has been cluttered with mostly books that she's managed to acquire during her time here. ]

So ... how does this work?

[ She definitely is nervous. It's pretty obvious in how she carries herself, and the small tremor in her voice. ]
